You can use a small sheet of watercolour paper to stamp small 2.5cm (1”) images and cut out to stick on front of cards. I used the beautiful 12 days of Christmas stamps
from Kaszazz (thanks Karen).
From 1 sheet of 30 x 30cm cardstock you will get the 12 card bases
(each card base measures 6 x 12cm folded in half to create a 6 x 6cm gift
card.
From 1 sheet of 30 x 30cm cardstock you will get all the pieces
needed to create the box base and lid, mats and star
decoration.
From the A4 patterned paper you’ll get twelve 5.5 x 5.5cm mats for
the cards, 1.5 x 29.7cm strip for lace to decorate box and a 16.5 x 7.7 cm pice
you can use for mat on top of box and liner for inside base of
box.
From the 1/2 sheet of A4 cardstock you’ll get twelve 4.5 x 4.5 cm
mats for the cards, 3 x 13.5cm strip (use to decorate top of box)and some waste
card. (Why not try the neat Epsom salts background technique if you are using
these cards as Christmas gift for a lovely glossy, frosted
look.)
Cut all the pieces out.
Cards:
· Fold the card bases in half and stick the patterned paper mat (5.5
x 5.5cm squares) and cardstock mat (4.5 x 4.5cm squares) on the
front.
· Stamp your images on watercolour paper and colour in to your
liking. Cut the images out and stick to the centre of the gift
cards.
Box:
· Cut out the box base and lid and score at 3 cm on each side. Clip
from edge of card to fold line where indicated on template. Fold up the box and
glue sides together.
· Cut out 2 mats from left over cardstock with a decorative die and
glue one to top and one to bottom of box.
· Make a lace trim from the strip of patterned paper (you can use a
die, paper edge punch or a pair of decorative scissors or whatever you have in
your tool kit to create a decorative edge). Glue the strip just under mat on
sides of lid of box.
· Attach the patterned paper mat and the cardstock mat to the top of
the box and decorate as you wish.
