We played with alcohol inks (both home made and bought) on a variety of different types of paper. There were inky fingers, tables, glass boards and glossy cardstock galore. Some really unusual effects, one of Karen's pieces looked just like a bouquet of beautiful roses. Other sheets looked like woodgrain, stripes, dots, swirls and more in a huge range of colours. I can't wait to see the cards the girls make with their new backgrounds. In case you missed the info sheet you can download it here: Make your own Alcohol Inks
One thing I learned when I was making my alcohol ink backgrounds was that no matter how bad it looks at first you can always find a use for it. I've made die cuts and flowers out of pieces I thought were unsalvageable and they've been terrific, so don't be scared, jump right on in and have a go yourself.
We've decided on the topic for our next get together so stay tuned for more about that.
